With regard to the end times, Matthew 24:12 records Jesus saying: And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

We are there. Right now. We are there. This one verse painfully and accurately describes present-day America.

I struggle to think of anything colder than what these two sub-humans are alleged to have done to this poor, helpless child. The very ones who were supposed to take care of him, neglected him so badly that he died alone in a filthy room, desperately trying to satisfy his hunger pangs with diapers and drywall. 

Upon a verdict of "guilty," if these two beings do not receive the death penalty for their horrific treatment of Erik Reichard, then our entire judicial system needs to be scrapped and thrown out the window because it has completely failed. If ever a crime called for the death penalty, the slow, agonizing, torturous murder of Erik Reichard does.
